This Account Agreement ("Agreement") is made between the account holder ("you," "your") and Global Bank ("we," "us," "our," "the Bank") and governs your account(s) with us. By opening or maintaining an account with us, you agree to be bound by this Agreement, as amended from time to time.
1. Account Opening and Ownership
To open an account, you must complete our account opening process and provide any information or documentation we request. We may use various means to verify your identity and may decline to open an account for any reason. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep this information up to date.
2. Deposits
We may accept deposits from you or others on your behalf. We may require endorsements as set forth by applicable law. We reserve the right to refuse or to return any deposit.
3. Withdrawals
You may withdraw funds from your account in any manner we permit, such as by check, ATM, debit card, in person, by mail, automatic transfer, or online banking. We may refuse any withdrawal request that exceeds available funds or is not in accordance with any conditions imposed by us.
4. Fees and Charges
You agree to pay all fees and charges applicable to your account as set forth in our Fee Schedule, which may change from time to time. We may deduct these fees and charges directly from your account.
5. Electronic Banking Services
If you use electronic banking services, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions governing those services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your access credentials and for all transactions made using these credentials.
6. Statements
We will provide you with account statements at the frequency required by law or as requested by you. You agree to promptly examine your statements and to notify us of any errors, unauthorized transactions, or irregularities within 30 days of the statement date.
7. Overdrafts
We may, at our discretion, honor withdrawal requests that overdraw your account. If you overdraw your account, you agree to immediately deposit sufficient funds to cover the overdraft amount plus any associated fees.
8. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where your account is maintained, without regard to conflict of law principles.
9. Amendments
We may amend this Agreement at any time. We will provide notice of amendments as required by applicable law. Your continued use of the account following an amendment constitutes your acceptance of the amendment.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy, which is provided to you separately, describes how we collect, use, and share your personal information.
